King Abdullah meets with UN High Commissioner for Refugees

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres and his accompanying delegation in Riyadh today.

King Abdullah presented the High Commissioner with the King Abdulaziz Medal, second class, in recognition of his humanitarian work. For his part, Guterres praised Saudi Arabia's support for his organization's programs.

Chairman of the Shura (Consultative) Council Dr Saleh bin Homaid also met with Guterres today. They discussed issues of mutual interest, in particular those involving refugee affairs.

Yesterday, Guterres met with Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal.
