Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz will present the King Faisal International Prize for service to Islam for 2007 to President Mintimer Shaimiev of Tatarstan in a special ceremony in Riyadh on Sunday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who arrives in the Kingdom Sunday for a three-day official visit, will also attend the ceremony.

President Shaimiev was selected for the prestigious award for his efforts to revive Islamic culture in Tatarstan, including promoting Islamic teachings and values and rebuilding mosques that had been destroyed.
