The international Arab Child Health conference opened in Riyadh yesterday. Organized in collaboration with the Arab League, the three-day conference will address the health of Arab children as well as the health problems they are currently facing.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Arab Children’s Health is the Ummah’s Investment.”
In remarks at the opening session, Saudi Minister of Health Dr Hamad Al-Manie called for increased vaccination programs to eradicate diseases such as polio. He also noted that the Kingdom has emphasized children’s health through new regulations, institutions and infrastructure projects.
