King Abdullah continues preparations for upcoming Arab Summit

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today sent messages to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, King Abdullah II of Jordan, Lebanese President Emile Lahoud and United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayid Al-Nahayan to inviting them to next month’s Arab Summit in Riyadh.

King Abdullah has already issued invitations to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, Omani Sultan Qaboos, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir to attend the summit.

According to a report in today’s Arab News, the summit is expected to focus on the turmoil in Iraq, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Iran’s nuclear standoff with the West and the political crisis in Lebanon.
