Medical arrangements completed for this year’s Hajj

Medical arrangements have been completed for this year’s Hajj, Minister of Health Dr. Hamad Al-Manie said today.

The number of medical personnel has been increased to 10,094 this year, and for the first time specialists from Muslim countries including Turkey and Pakistan will be available to provide specialized care as needed.

Health centers at the holy sites have been equipped with the required equipment and staff, and medical teams are scheduled to work around the clock at the Grand Mosque in Makkah to provide care, Dr. Al-Manie said.

The minister also added that Saudi Arabia has an integrated plan to deal with bird flu during the Hajj season.
