Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz today telephoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh to congratulate them on the formation of a unity government.  King Abdullah welcomed the unity government and hoped that this achievement would bring the Palestinian people a step closer to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and the achievement of a just and comprehensive Middle East peace.
