Arab Summit Starts on Wednesday

The 19th Arab Summit will start its deliberations in Riyadh on Wednesday, March 28, under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, said that the Summit will provide an opportunity for Arab leaders to take a unified stand for facing future challenges.  During the Summit, Arab leaders will review a number of topics, notably the issues in: Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, Darfur and Somalia.  Proliferation of weapons will be discussed, as will topics including Economic and Social matters.  Emphasis will be placed on economic integration and the facilitation of trade among Arab countries.
