Ministers take oath of office

The oath of office was administered to all members of the Council of Ministers today following their re-appointment by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for another four year term.   The oath was taken before King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan by:


HRH Prince Met'eb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs
HRH Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the Interior
HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs
HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Chief of the Cabinet's Presidency
Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Ashaikh, Minister of Justice
Shaikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al-Ashaikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance
Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Khuweiter, Minister of State

Following the administration of oath, King Abdullah congratulated the ministers and wished them good luck.  “I congratulate you and I congratulate myself on your stay in your positions.  I wish you best of luck and I hope you will work hard to serve your fellow citizens and any person coming before you with an issue.  At the same time, I remind you of the trust responsibility you bear before the Almighty God, your homeland and your people.  I hope you will serve your homeland diligently and earnestly … I pray to the Almighty God to keep us enjoying the bounty of Islam, peace, tranquility and stability for the Islamic and Arab world.”
