Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal dies at 85

Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Al-Saud, 85, died today after a lengthy illness, the Royal Court announced in a statement. Funeral prayers were held for the prince at the Holy Mosque in Makkah today.

Prince Abdullah was a son of the late King Faisal bin Abdulaziz. He was also a brother of Minister Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal and former Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Turki Al-Faisal.

A former Minister of Interior and Minister of Health, Prince Abdullah most recently served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Faisal Foundation.
