King Abdullah holds talks with Vice President Cheney

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz held talks with US Vice President Dick Cheney in Tabuk today. The US-Saudi talks focused on regional issues, in particular Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon. After the talks, King Abdullah hosted a dinner in Cheney’s honor.

Cheney arrived at Tabuk Airport earlier today for a brief official visit to Saudi Arabia. He was welcomed at the airport by Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz and other senior Saudi officials.

Also attending the talks were Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Prince Mit’eb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Riyadh Governor Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Chief of General Intelligence Prince Miqren bin Abdulaziz, Tabuk Governor Prince Fahd bin Sultan, and Saudi Ambassador to the US Adel Al-Jubeir.
