Fifth Saudi-Yemeni Joint Commission concludes in Riyadh

The Saudi-Yemeni Joint Commission concluded its fifth session in Riyadh today. In remarks after the meeting, Minister of Commerce and Industry Hashim Yamani noted that the volume of trade between Saudi Arabia and Yemen increased threefold between 2001 and 2005, to more than $3 billion per year.

Yamani also said that the two countries are interested in establishing joint economic zones at the Saudi-Yemeni borders and facilitating the flow of trade.
