Crown Prince Sultan meets with Sudan’s defense minister

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz met with Sudanese Defense Minister Abdulrahim Hussein in Jeddah today to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation. The Crown Prince also hosted a luncheon in Hussein’s honor, with Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal in attendance.

During the meeting, Crown Prince Sultan highlighted the brotherly relations and close cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Sudan. For his part, Hussein said that Sudan values King Abdullah’s recent initiative during the Arab Summit in Riyadh to resolve the conflict between Sudan and the United Nations over Darfur, and expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s contributions to Sudan’s stability and development.
