Secretaries Rice and Gates depart the Kingdom after two-day visit

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates departed Jeddah separately today after a two-day visit to the Kingdom. During their visit, Secretaries Rice and Gates held talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz as well as other top Saudi officials, including the chief of General Intelligence, Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal.

Rice was seen off at the airport in Jeddah by Saudi Ambassador to the US Adel A. Al-Jubeir before departing for Jerusalem and the West Bank. Gates also departed the Kingdom today.
