Holy Ka’abah to be washed August 14

The washing of the Holy Ka’abah will take place on Tuesday, August 14 in Makkah. The Ka’abah will be washed with zamzam water and perfumed with rose water in preparation for this year’s Hajj.

Governor of Makkah Province Prince Khalid Al-Faisal will perform the traditional washing ceremony on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Senior ulema (religious scholars), ministers and diplomats accredited to the Kingdom from Muslim countries will also participate in the washing ceremony.
