Saudi delegation tours flood-ravaged areas of Bangladesh

A Saudi relief delegation led by Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdullah Al-Namlah toured the flood-stricken regions of the southeast Asian country today. The Kingdom has provided Bangladesh with urgent humanitarian assistance and a $50 million grant in order to help the flood victims. 

Last week, a team from the Ministry of Finance also toured the area in order to better supervise the distribution of Saudi aid to Bangladesh.

In related news, Saudi Arabia has handed over $100,000 to Mali. It is the first part of a $305,000 grant for the Ahmed Baba Insitute for Islamic Higher Studies and Research in Timbuktu.
