King Abdullah meets with Middle East envoy Tony Blair

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met with Middle East peace envoy Tony Blair in Jeddah today.

They discussed developments regarding the Middle East peace process and efforts to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace in the region in line with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The meeting was also attended by National Security Council Secretary-General Prince Bandar bin Sultan and Saudi Ambassador to the US Adel A. Al-Jubeir. Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz met separately with Blair.

The former British prime minister was named as the Quartet Representative in the Middle East in June 2007. The Quartet consists of the United Nations, the European Union, Russia and the United States.
