Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz have received Ramadan greetings from various Muslim leaders. The holy month began September 13.

Among those sending cables of congratulations were King Abdullah II of Jordan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan, Tunisian President Zine El-Abidine Ben Ali, Kuwaiti Emir Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Bahraini Prime Minister Khalifa Al-Khalifa and the ruler of Sharjah, Sultan Al-Qasmi.

Both King Abdullah and Crown Prince Sultan sent reply cables wishing good health and happiness.
