Saudi Arabia has been elected to the 35-member International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors for 2006-2007. The election was held yesterday at the IAEA’s 51st Annual General Conference in Vienna, Austria.

Also elected to the board were Albania, Algeria, Ecuador, Ghana, Iraq, Ireland, Lithuania, Mexico, Philippines, and Switzerland.
