Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz has permitted all Saudi detainees who were extradited back to the Kingdom from Guantanamo Bay to celebrate the Islamic holiday of Eid Al-Fitr with their families. The directive applies to the detainees who are awaiting trials. After the holiday, the detainees will return to complete legal proceedings.

The Ministry issued a similar directive last year. All of the detainees returned to their cells after the Eid.
