Crown Prince Sultan highlights importance of civil aviation sector

Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz today chaired the first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation General Commission following the Cabinet’s decision to privatize some sectors of civil aviation.


During the meeting, Crown Prince Sultan – who is also the Minister of Defense and Aviation and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation General Commission – highlighted the importance of the civil aviation sector. He underlined the fact that the Commission’s Board of Directors includes representatives from both the public and private sectors.

Members of the Board are: Prince Fahd bin Abdullah, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General for Civil Aviation Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors; Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Secretary General of Supreme Commission of Tourism; Abdullah Rahaimi, President of the Commission; Salih Albarak, Director General of Customs and representative of the Ministry of Finance; Abulrahman Abu Milhah, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport for Transport and Naval Navigation; Bandar Alwayli, Planning Expert of the Ministry of Economy and Planning; Khalid Albawardi, General President of Albawardi Group; Mohammad Alomran, Executive Director of Alomran Company, and Ibraheem Alisa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Savola for Packaging Systems.
