Mobile service provider Mobily said yesterday that it has installed more than 120 new base stations in and around Makkah in preparation for this year’s Hajj, the Arab News reported today.

Mobily spokesman Humoud Al-Ghobaini told the Arab News that the company has agreements with 205 mobile operators worldwide, which allows pilgrims from abroad to send and receive cellular communications while they are in Saudi Arabia.

Mobily serves around 2.2 million subscribers in the Kingdom.
