Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims have been proceeding peacefully towards Mina for the day of tarwiyah (watering) in line with the sunnah (teachings) of the Prophet.

Sixty-five ambulances are accompanying the pilgrims on their way to Mina. Once at the holy site, facilities in Mina have been set up to help the pilgrims perform the Hajj rituals in safety and comfort, including hospitals, telecommunications centers, and water tanks and coolers. Bakeries have also prepared by making large amounts of bread available to the pilgrims.
