King Abdullah arrives in Mina; pilgrims complete Standing at Arafat

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz arrived in Mina today to directly supervise the services provided to Hajj pilgrims. The King and Crown Prince observed the success of the movement of pilgrims towards the plains of Arafat. The Standing at Arafat has been completed smoothly. Meanwhile, the old covering (Kiswah) of the Holy Ka’abah in the Grand Mosque in Makkah was ceremoniously replaced with a splendid new one. After sunset today, the pilgrims left Arafat for Muzdalifa.

Also today, Prince Turki bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Culture and Information, hailed the increasing global interest in media coverage of Hajj rituals. He said that more than 180 media outlets are covering this year’s pilgrimage.
