Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz yesterday offered condolences to the families of the victims of the stampede at the Jamarat Bridge on behalf of the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, the Crown Prince said that the tragic incident occurred when more than 12 pilgrims carrying a large amount of luggage on their backs in violation of the rules fell in the crowd.
