Minister of Finance Ibrahim Al-Assaf said today that a decree has been issued to establish a second Saudi field hospital in the Pakistani city of Mansehra. The first such hospital was set up immediately following the October 8, 2005 earthquake.

Al-Assaf also said the Saudi people have donated SR 150 million [$40 million] to help finance the construction of homes in the area of Pakistan affected by the quake. Other Saudi aid to Pakistan included SR 500 million [$133 million] to be paid through the Saudi Fund for Development, emergency assistance of SR 37.5 million [$10 million] and SR 500 million [$133 million] to finance Saudi exports to Pakistan.
