Saudi teams recover 239 victims of the Al-Salam 98 ferry tragedy

The Ministry of Interior has confirmed that Saudi search and recovery teams have recovered 94 more bodies of victims of the Al-Salam 98 ferry disaster. The Al-Salam 98 sank in the Red Sea en route from the Saudi port of Dhiba to Safaga, Egypt Friday with 1,398 passengers and crew on board.

As of today, 239 bodies have been recovered and handed over to Egyptian authorities. The ministry confirmed that so far the bodies of 13 Saudi victims have been recovered. The total number of Saudis missing in connection with the tragedy stands at 43.
