Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met with President of Ireland Mary Mcaleese in Riyadh today. President McAleese is currently in the Kingdom to participate in the Jeddah Economic Forum (JEF). The two leaders discussed bilateral, regional and international developments.
Commenting to reporters in Jeddah today, McAleese praised the Kingdom’s economic progress as well as its industrial and educational development, and lauded the contribution of Saudi women to the public and private sectors. She also strongly condemned the blasphemous Danish cartoons that have offended Muslims.
King Abdullah also met with former German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who addressed the Forum yesterday.
