Kingdom has provided $180 million in aid to drought-stricken Africa

Minister of Finance Ibrahim Al-Assaf said today that Saudi Arabia has provided $180 million in aid to African countries suffering from drought from 1980 through 2005. More than 2.5 million people in rural areas of Mauritania, Mali, Chad, Senegal, Niger, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Gambia, Guinea Bissau and Cape Verde have benefited from the Kingdom’s assistance.
