The talks, which took place at the Saudi King’s farm in Al-Janadriyah, focused on the Palestinian issue and the situation in Iraq. The two leaders also discussed other international, Arab and Islamic issues as well as bilateral relations.
A number of top Saudi officials attended the summit, including Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal.
The Saudi-Jordanian summit took place amid a new international push to revive the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks. Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah met last week with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Sharm Al-Sheikh for talks about the peace process.
