The Ministry of Higher Education and the General Authority of Civil Aviation are offering scholarships to Saudi students to study civil aviation in the United States, the Arab News reported today.
The scholarships are open to both men and women. They include bachelor’s and postgraduate studies in majors such as communications, electrical and computer engineering, computer science, systems analysis, air traffic control, flight safety, and other fields related to the airline transport industry.
Applicants for post-graduate studies must have at least 4/2.75 and 5/3.75 grade point averages and must have obtained their bachelor’s degrees within the past five years. The scholarship forms are available on the Ministry’s Web site until July 12. Nominations will be announced on July 31, interviews will take place in August and winners will be announced on Sept. 2.
