US-Arab Economic Forum begins in Houston

The 2006 US-Arab Economic Forum began in Houston, Texas today. The theme of this year’s event, which runs from June 26-28, is “One World, Two Cultures, Endless Possibilities.”

Saudi Ambassador to the US Prince Turki Al-Faisal is scheduled to address the forum. Invited speakers also include Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority Amr Al Dabbagh, Secretary General of the Saudi Arabia Supreme Economic Council Abdulrahman Al-Tuwaijri.

The US-Arab Economic Forum brings together business leaders and policymakers to create shared opportunities and strengthen US-Arab relations. It seeks to promote economic growth and integration, free trade, entrepreneurship, public/private partnerships and a modern, innovative and competitive Middle-Eastern society.
