After standing on the plains of Arafat yesterday, more than 2 million Hajj pilgrims left Muzdalifah and proceeded to Mina today.
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Sultan are already in Mina to personally supervise the movement of the pilgrims.
The pilgrims' journey to Mina went smoothly thanks to the arrangements made by Saudi authorities, and was completed in record time, General Intelligence chief Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz said.
Today is also the first day of the Eid Al-Adha. Prayers were performed throughout the Kingdom in observance of the holiday that marks the end of the Hajj.
