Foreign Minister: State visit will open a new chapter in Saudi-Turkish relations

In an interview with the Turkish newspaper Millet, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Saud Al-Faisal said that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz’s visit to Turkey will open a new chapter in Saudi-Turkish relations.

King Abdullah arrives in Turkey tomorrow for a three-day state visit, the first by a Saudi king since 1966. Prince Saud will accompany the King on the visit.

Prince Saud said the two countries have the political will to develop bilateral political, economic and military cooperation.

In the interview, Prince Saud condemned the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. He also stressed that reform in the Kingdom should come from within and not through outside pressure.
