Saudi Arabia and Turkey to boost economic ties

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan laid out a plan for economic relations at a meeting of Saudi and Turkish businessmen in Istanbul yesterday.

King Abdullah and Erdogan pledged to remove barriers and provide support to Saudi and Turkish businessmen in order to boost trade and increase investment ties.

In remarks upon the occasion, King Abdullah expressed his hope that the meeting would achieve tangible results. He underscored both countries’ intent to boost economic relations and encouraged Saudi and Turkish businessmen to establish more joint venture projects and increase investment.
