New 91-octane gasoline price set at $0.45 per gallon

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has issued a directive keeping gasoline price for 95-octane unchanged at 60 halalas per liter [$ 0.60 per gallon] and setting the price for the new 91-octane at 45 halalas a liter [$0.45 per gallon], Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi said in a statement Saturday.  The new 91-octane gasoline will be available January 1, 2007.
Earlier this year King Abdullah ordered gasoline prices slashed by more than 30 percent.
