Saudi Aramco said today that a minor fire erupted in one of the shipyards at the Ras Tanura oil refinery, killing one employee before it was quickly extinguished. Operations at the refinery were not interrupted.

The fire is believed to have been caused by an accidental hydrocarbon leak. In a statement, Aramco stressed that it is committed to the safety of its employees, and that it will investigate the cause of the leak and take the necessary corrective measures.
