King Abdullah meets with Iraqi delegates to the reconciliation conference

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz met with the Iraqi religious leaders who participated in the Iraqi national reconciliation conference in Makkah yesterday.

King Abdullah stressed that there should be no outside interference in Iraqi affairs and wished the delegates success in their effort to foster national unity in Iraq.

The reconciliation conference was hosted by the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). Religious leaders from both Iraq’s Shiite and Sunni communities attended with the aim of ending the bloodshed in Iraq.

Also yesterday, King Abdullah met with Iraqi Vice President Tariq Al-Hashmi.
