Shura Council resumes after Eid Al-Fitr recess

The Shura Council (Consultative Council) resumed its regular sessions today after the Eid Al-Fitr recess. The Council welcomed the establishment of the Allegiance Institution, which formalizes the royal succession, as a step further in the political reforms initiated by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

The Council also praised government efforts to ensure that umrah pilgrims could perform their rituals easily and comfortably during Ramadan and the Eid Al-Fitr.
