Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has directed that 11 new psychiatric hospitals be established in Saudi Arabia.

Minister of Health Dr Hamad Al-Manei said that each hospital will have a capacity of 200-300 beds. They will be known as “Al-Amal Complexes” and will provide care to those suffering from psychiatric illnesses as well as addicts. The hospitals are expected to be completed within three years.
