Prince Abdulmajeed declares Hajj 1425 a success

Governor of Makkah Province Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz, in his capacity as Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, today announced the success of the 1425 Hajj, thanks to the excellent arrangements made by the concerned pilgrimage authorities. In a statement, Prince Abdulmajeed said the success of the Hajj would not have been possible without all concerned institutions carrying out their duties according to the prepared plans and programs in the service of the pilgrims.

Over 2.56 million people took part in this year's Hajj without incident.  Assistant Minister of Interior for Security Affairs Prince Muhammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz gave the official figure for pilgrims coming from abroad for this year's Hajj as 1,534,759, an increase of 112,331, or 8%, over last year. The Ministry of Health reported that over 380,000 pilgrims were treated at various medical facilities in the Makkah area during the first twenty days of January.
