Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi met in Riyadh today with visiting U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic Affairs Earl Anthony Wayne. They reviewed aspects of cooperation on petroleum affairs between Saudi Arabia and the United States as well as the current situation in the global oil market.

Yesterday, Minister of Commerce Dr Hashim Yamani received the U.S. official, and reviewed with him aspects of economic, trade and industrial cooperation between the two countries.

In 2003, the volume of trade between the Kingdom and the United States amounted to SR 86.17 billion [U.S. $ 23 billion].
