Red Sea marine environment forum opens in Cairo

Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, President of the Administration of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, is leading the Saudi delegation at the second regional forum on preservation of the marine environment of the Red Sea that began yesterday in Cairo. Addressing the inaugural session of the four-day forum, Prince Turki stressed the importance of cooperation in the field of environmental protection, confirming that the Kingdom has ready a national plan for combating environmental pollution. He urged that lessons be learned from December’s tsunami disaster in southeast Asia.
