Minister of Interior Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz arrived back in Riyadh today after attending meetings in Sanaa of the Saudi-Yemeni Joint Committee on implementation of the bilateral treaty on the international border . At a press conference, Prince Nayef praised the security officers in today’s confrontation in Jeddah with members of the deviant group. To a question on the assassination attempt against Crown Prince Abdullah, he said that since the case is under investigation, he could not say if or when the 13 suspects would be prosecuted; and on Saad Al-Faqeeh, he commented only on the fact that the British government professes to be against terrorism while harboring such people.

While in Sanaa, he was received by Yemen’s President Ali Abdullah Salih, with whom he exchanged cordial talks. At today’s meeting of the Saudi-Yemeni Joint Committee, Prince Nayef affirmed that much of the work had been completed, and that the two sides were in full agreement.
