SAMA reports increase in foreign assets

The Kingdom’s central bank, the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) has reported an increase in its foreign assets by 7.8 percent during the month of January, 2005, to reach U.S. $94.5 billion. Deposits with banks abroad rose to SR67.68 billion ($18.05 billion) in January, up 40 percent from December, 2004.
