The Ministry of Interior has reported that in an incident in Qasim Province yesterday seven militant suspects were killed and one wounded and arrested.  Security forces, who had identified a number of wanted suspects in a residential building in the Jawazat district of the town of Ar-Rass in Qasim Province, came under heavy fire from machine guns and hand grenades. The security forces evacuated the area, which included a primary school for girls. After a warning was issued to the suspects to surrender, a fierce gunfight ensued. A number of security officers were slightly injured, but most of them have already been discharged from hospital. A supplementary statement on developments and details will be issued later.
