The Saudi stock market has reported a record 7.12 percent growth for April, 2005, with the Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) closing at 11,246.55 points compared with 10,499.26 at the end of March 2005. On April 9, it reached its highest level ever with 11,980.28 points. Since the beginning of the year, the index has increased by 35.12 percent. By the end of April, market capitalization was SR1.63 trillion [U.S. $435 billion], an increase of 10 percent over March. The total value of shares traded in April was SR306 billion [$81.6 billion], up 8 percent from March.
