An international medical conference on intensive care is being held on Monday, May 9 by the Armed Forces Hospitals in Al-Hada and Taif. Some 800 delegates and 60 speakers are expected to attend, from a number of Arab nations as well as Saudi Arabia and other countries, including the United States. The conference will focus on diagnosis and special care for patients in critical status.
Meanwhile, an international conference on remote sensing and its applications opens tomorrow in Riyadh. The five-day event, ‘Remote Sensing as a Means to Improve the Quality of Life’ is being organized by the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in collaboration with the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). A number of foreign organizations, private as well as public, are participating in the conference, and in the exhibition featuring the latest technology in the field.
