Suspects in Makkah security officer’s murder killed in Jeddah

The Interior Ministry issued a statement today that in the follow-up of the June 18 murder in Makkah of a security officer, Major General Mubarak Al-Sawat, two militants belonging to the deviant group were identified as having committed this crime. Security forces observed their vehicle early this morning in Jeddah, and gave pursuit. The terrorists opened fire, and in the subsequent shootout, their car was damaged. After taking by force the car of an innocent bystander, they took refuge in a building, which was then surrounded by security forces, leading to an exchange of fire and resulting in their death. During the encounter, three security men were injured, one seriously.
