Saudi Aramco reports new source of gas and condensates

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Al-Naimi has announced the discovery by Saudi Aramco of a new source of gas and condensates in a reservoir at the Fazran well, located about sixty miles west of Dhahran in the Eastern Province. On June 24, gas was flowing at a rate of 40 million cubic feet per day and condensates at a rate of 20 barrels per day; the density is 45 grade, according to the scale of the U.S. Petroleum Institute.
