Minister endorses Hajj rituals program

Saudi Minister for Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Call, & Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul-Aziz bin Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al-AlShaikh has approved Hajj Rituals Step-by-Step Program to be undertaken by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. The program aims at using various highly-developed guiding media means to explain Hajj rituals to pilgrims in an efficient manner.

Talal Al-Aqeel, Adviser to the minister, said that the ministry will distribute fifteen million copies of the Holy Qura'n, books, cassettes and guidance films among the pilgrims. He added that the ministry will distribute 1.2 million copies of the Holy Qur'an as a gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz. Al-Aqeel said that the total cost of the distribution of "the pilgrims’ gifts" in addition to the means of guidance will be more than SR 40 million [U.S.$10.7 million].
